Amy Beth Kunze, Painter
Inspired to create as a child and feeling connected to nature I explored drawing and emerged into painting as an adult. Self-taught in the use of Pencil, Oil and Acrylic, my style emerged using
Realism with a flair for Impressionism.
Formal education facilitated my passion for drawing portraits and painting seascapes. Growing up in Philadelphia, I attended Moore College of Art and Design, Tyler School of Art and Bucks County Community College. Formal training accelerated my gifts as I learned about design and color theory. Science was also an interest of mine. Excited about creativity merging with science led me to become an Occupational Therapist in 1999 Temple University. Working as a therapist for 23 years, I was able to help people of all ages achieve independence with life skills regardless of their ability. Currently, I teach art to children and adults using my clinical understanding of development to accelerate participation and function during each class. I paint in Oil, Acrylic and mixed media with inspiration from the land and sea.
I am honored to be a part of the special moments that are meant to be captured when completing commissioned work. Photography has allowed me to captivate the image I create from the heart.
I paint what YOU LOVE from a photo.
