Nature tends to dominate my subject matter along with local landmarks or icons of a community. Beach bikes, underwater swimmers and clam shells have been my most current interest. I want my work to elicit a memory or portray a mood for the viewer. Some of my paintings are done plein air. My work is impressionistic in style, using reflections, light and composition to capture the subject and mood.
